I created this trivet with inspiration from the suns energy and warmth. I used melted glass to add a vibrant color and glossy, light-catching feeling. This trivet, being both functional and decorative as it brings a light tough to table settings.
This house has been with me since middle school. Except, I don't live in it. Many of my middle school days were spent walking up and down my neighborhood streets, looking at houses, landscapes, and the little details in other lives.
SPRING FLOWERET
Printed with a 3d clay printer, this vase is a blend of a digital precision as well as a handmade addition. The slayed texture shows the printing process, while the hand-applied flowers add the whimsical, organic touch along with the pattern of dragonflies applied to it.
EPHERMRAL OFFERINGS
Formed using terracotta clay, this salt and pepper shaker shows the warmth and anticipation of Christmas spirit. My family has a salt shaker set for a bunch of holidays, but we happened to be missing one for Christmas. This created hand-formed presents as well as a slay to hold them. The color palette was used to emphasize the nostalgia the holidays give us.
