STUDIO CERAMICS
One of my pieces from ninth grade. Most weren't photographed, but this one is on display in my bathroom. This was the class that inspired my love for ceramic!
FIOCCO ROSSO
This piece was influenced by a type of pottery style popular in Italy. Though Maiolica originated in Mecca, it was brought to Italy and popularized by Majorca. Ceramic in Italy was often displayed during feast and ceremonies. 4 x 9.5 x 4
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
INTERTWINED
This was my first pot on the potters wheel. It was a really big struggle, the wheel wasn't working with me at the beginning. It took me 5 classes just to figure out what i was doing. 4 x 5 x 6
The people we meet and surround ourselves with create and shape the patterns of our webs, personalities, likes, and dislikes. They are weaved into us. We’re linked to everyone we’ve met. Some threads are stronger than others and when that thread breaks you feel your web collapse. You rush to fix it; quickly making new threads and weaker threads. Each person, no matter how brief leaves a piece of thread. 4 x 5 x 7
STRAWBERRY ENLIGHTENMENT
FAIRY HOUSE
Fairies are thought to be derived from Greek mythology, though there is no proof of where they originated. Fairies symbolize spring, which is why i decided to create a acorn home. My grandma is an avid fairy believer, this piece was inspired by all the stories and tales she'd tell me about fairies when I was a child. 6 x 6 x 6.75
SCYPHOZOA SIGNING
Jellyfish, or scphyozoa, are Invertebrates that inhabit most of our oceans. They swim around with no feeling, no pain, no thoughts, nothing. They are purely here to exist. 3 x 4 x 6
A short film created to explore the different ways to utilize clay and sculpture. This was my first ever stop-motion movie and I went through trial and error to create this story.
